Pallavi
amma rāvamma tuḷasamma nanu pālimpa- vamma satatamu padamulē namminānamma | O Mother Tulasi! Deign to come and protect me; I have placed faith in only Your holy feet. |
Anupallavi
nemmadini nīviha parammulosaguduvanucu kamma viltuni taṇḍri kalanaina bāyaḍaṭa (amma) | It is said that, because You grant comfort in this World and in the future World, Lord Vishnu would not leave You even in His dreams. |
Charanam
nī mṛdu tanuvunu kani nī parimaḷamunu kani nī mahatvamunu kani nīrajākṣi tāmarasa daḷa nētru tyāgarājuni mitru prēmatō śiramunanu1 peṭṭukonnāḍaṭa (amma) | It is said that, beholding Your soft body, perceiving Your sweet fragrance and knowing Your greatness, O Lotus Eyed! The Lotus petal Eyed one, who is the benefactor of this Thyagaraja, adorns You on his head with Love. |
