Rama dasaratharama (రామ దశరథరామ) is a keerthana in praise of Sri Rama by the 15th-century composer-saint Annamacharya (Annamayya). Every line is strung together with the name "Rama". Annamayya salutes him as the son of Dasaratha, the Kakutstha prince of true resolve, the ocean of compassion and the joy of Kausalya, the Supreme Person and Sita's husband. He remembers the deeds that made him famous: guarding the sacrifice, bridging the ocean, destroying demons, blessing Sugriva and terrifying Ravana. The song closes by naming him Sri Venkatagiri Rama, which links the Lord of Ayodhya to the Lord of Venkatachala. The audio here is sung by G. Balakrishna Prasad in raga Visharada, set to Adi talam. TTD places it in its Annamayya Ramanjaneya Lahari collection. Below you will find the lyrics in Telugu, an easy-to-read English transliteration, word notes, and the meaning in English and Telugu.

Meaning of Rama dasaratharama (in English)
This is a summary of the idea of the song, not a word-for-word translation. Annamayya praises Rama by calling out the names that describe him.
- Pallavi: O Rama, son of Dasaratha! O Rama of true resolve, Rama of the Kakutstha line, we bow to you again and again.
- First charanam: Rama, ocean of compassion and joy of Kausalya. Rama, the Supreme Person and Sita's husband. Rama who bridged the sea and protected the sacrifice. Rama, bearer of the Kodanda bow, great in the Sun dynasty.
- Second charanam: Rama who destroyed the demons, son of Dasaratha, praised in hymns by the gods and always victorious. Rama who took birth as a man, rich in glorious qualities, dear to Hanuman, lord of Ayodhya.
- Third charanam: Rama of graceful fame, who granted a boon to Sugriva and struck fear into the sinful Ravana. Shining Rama of the Raghu line, known through the Vedas, full of majesty, Rama of Sri Venkatagiri.
The song is a litany of names. Each name recalls one part of the Ramayana, from Rama's childhood in Ayodhya to his friendship with Sugriva and Hanuman and the victory over Ravana. The last line connects Sri Rama with Sri Venkateswara of Tirumala, which is the way Annamayya often ends his songs.
